Study on Assessment of Risk factors of Constipation among Patients Undergoing Abdominal Surgery

Objective: Aim of the study to assess risk constipation among patients undergoing abdominal surgery. Constipation is a gastrointestinal tract condition which can lead abnormal stools, uncomfortable storage and passing with pain stiffness. one system's functional impairments. Various symptoms also include bloating, pushing, rectal pain, feeling fullness in rectum or extreme defecation, lack full discharge, stool infrequency (usually less than three times week). problem that prevalent surgery preoperative postoperative period due physiological psychological factors. While does not endanger life. Bowel frequency affected by many variables, including dietary factors, emotional state, immobility, prior history bowel elimination problem, morbidity after common issue individuals face.
 Materials Methods: The cross sectional research conducted AVBR hospital Sawangi Meghe, Wardha district quantitative approach. Sample size was 85. patients. Tool structured questionnaire Patients characteristics & assessment scale.
 Results: 48.24% had no developing constipation, 29.41% low 14.12% moderate 8.23% severe constipation. Minimum 0 maximum 17. Mean 5.14±5.71.
